How are plants packed for delivery?
We pack our plants carefully to ensure they arrive healthy and intact. First, the plant stem is secured with a wooden cane for support.
The plant is then placed in a recycled plastic bag to prevent soil movement, and packed into a cardboard box. The cane is trimmed to size to further reduce movement during transit.
Finally, the box is labeled “This Way Up” and “Fragile” so delivery drivers handle it with care.
What happens if something arrives damaged?
If any of your plants arrive damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll assess the situation and offer a replacement, refund, or advice on how to revive the plant.
At Middleton Nurseries, we take great care in packing, but sometimes transit issues happen — and we’re always here to make it right.
When are plants dispatched?
We aim to send plants when they are healthy and ready for planting, ensuring they arrive in the best condition.
From May to November, plants are usually dispatched shortly after your order is placed. During December to April, our shipping window closes, so any orders placed during this period will be dispatched once the window reopens in May.
For up-to-date shipping dates, please check the individual product pages. You’ll receive a dispatch notification with tracking details once your order is on its way.
How do I choose the right plant size?
Choosing the right plant size depends on your garden space and how quickly you want results. Smaller plants are often more affordable and will establish quickly, while larger, more mature plants give an instant impact in borders or containers.
Each product on our website includes details about height, spread, and growth rate to help you select the perfect size for your garden.
