In 2021 we had 3 of our Salvia shortlisted for the illustrious RHS Chelsea Flower Show ‘Plant of the Year’ award 2021. The plants nominated were Salvia microphylla ‘Delice Aquamarine, Salvia ‘Delice Gold and Wine, and Salvia microphylla ‘Anduus’.
Salvia microphylla ‘Delice Aquamarine
Salvia microphylla ‘Delice Aquamarine’ is a stunning new variety that I’m sure will be very popular with collectors. It has a long flowering period from May onwards and produces pale-blue flowers and is suitable for both gardens and pots. ‘Delice Aquamarine’ was bred by Jan Debusschere from Assebroek (Belgium). Introduced in 2020
Salvia ‘Delice Gold and Wine
Salvia ‘Delice Gold and Wine’ has bicoloured flowers, namely pink with a subtle transition to a white lip. The plant is suitable for both gardens and pots. The beautiful colours make the plant stunning eye-catcher salvia among any Herbaceous border of summer flowers. Salvia ‘Delice Gold and Wine’ was bred by Jan Debusschere from Assebroek (Belgium). Introduced in 2020
Salvia microphylla ‘Anduus’
Salvia microphylla ‘Anduus’ is a stunning new variety which I’m sure will be very popular with collectors. It has a long flowering period from May onwards and produces pale-blue flowers and is suitable for both gardens and pots. ‘Delice Aquamarine’ was bred by Jan Debusschere from Assebroek (Belgium). Introduced in 2020
Unfortunately, we did not win the RHS Chelsea flower show ‘Plant the year 2021’ but we were honoured to be nominated during our first year at the Chelsea flower show. The award went to Cercis canadensis ETERNAL FLAME.
