Originating from Argentina, this salvia stands apart from the usual deep-blue varieties. ‘Argentine Skies’ boasts a delicate, light-blue hue that floats above its dark calyces, bringing a fresh, airy touch to borders and adding a sense of movement and elegance to any garden.
Reaching approximately 90–120cm in height, it forms a graceful, upright clump with gently arching stems and aromatic foliage — perfect for adding height, rhythm, and late-season colour to mixed borders. Planting & Care
Plant from late May to early June, once the risk of frost has passed. Later purchases can be kept frost-free and planted the following spring.
Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil.
Pinch young plants to encourage bushier growth. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering, and wait until late spring before cutting back established plants.
In colder areas, provide winter mulch or protection.
